SOUTH BEND - Rita A. Gorski, 77, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. in her residence. Rita was born June 25, 1931, in South Bend, to the late Felix and Joan (Lisek) Malinowski. On November 28, 1953, she married Joseph Gorski who preceded her in death on November 10, 2002. She was also preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Angela Gorski. She is survived by sons, Casimer (Diane) Gorski, John Gorski, and Timothy (Jenny) Gorski, all of South Bend; grandchildren, Ryan (Ann) of Rolling Prairie, Tina, and Allan of South Bend, Angel and Michael of Wyoming, Sarah Ann and Andrew of South Bend; and nine great-grandchildren. Rita was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She loved to crochet, bake, and cook Polish food. She enjoyed Polka music, and loved her dog, Susie. Rita worked at Dainty Maid Bakery for 15 years. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008, from 2-8 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, in Holy Family Catholic Church at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
