NEW CARLISLE - Clem R. Wrobleski, 88, passed away at 7:14 pm Sunday, January 6, 2013, in Memorial Hospital. Clem was born October 28, 1924, to the late Enoch and Agnes (Rybicki) Wrobleski. Clem is also preceded in death by his siblings, Walter, Edward, Steven, Harry and Stella Wrobleski, Bernice Gondek, and Uncle Dave Wrobleski. On June 28, 1947, in Cassopolis, MI, Clem married Irene (Majewski) Wrobleski, who survives, along with children, Sylvia (Steve) Purichia of Carmel, IN, Cynthia LeMay of Austin, TX, Roxanne (David) Isban of New Carlisle, IN, Michalene Kalmorgan of New Carlisle, IN, and Richard C. (Alice Dachel) Wrobleski of Hastings, MN; grandchildren, Cori (Oded) Doran of Albuquerque, NM, and Susan Purchia of Indianapolis, IN; great-grandchildren, Noa Jane and Ezra; sisters, Dorothy Wolkiewicz of South Bend and Henrietta Grauel of South Bend; and many nieces and nephews. Clem served his country in the United States Army and Air Force, and was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Terre Coupe Catholic Church. He was employed at Oliver's Farm Machinery as a welder for 40 years. Clem raised Black Angus, and loved farming, gardening, hunting, and coon hunting dogs. Clem was a collector of new coins, beer cans and ball caps. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Visitation for Clem will be held from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, January 10, 2013, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, January 11, 2013, in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, 55756 Tulip Road, New Carlisle, IN 46552. Condolences for the Wrobleski family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
