SOUTH BEND - Laura Dombrowski, 93, of Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal, formerly of Grant Road, died at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday in the nursing home. Mrs. Dombrowski retired from Studebaker Corp. She was born Sept. 19, 1900, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. In 1922, in South Bend, as Laura Chodzinski, she married Casimir Dombrowski. He died in 1944. She is survived by a daughter, Geri M. Hillebrand of La Grange, Ga.; a son, Richard C. of South Bend; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ann Nemeth and Hildegarde Avery, both of South Bend. A daughter, Joan Karkiewicz, and a son, Casimir, preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Ann Society and Harvest House, both of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 6 Auxiliary, Holy Family Catholic Church, and Studebaker Retirees Club. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Geri M Hillebrand of La Grange, Ga; a son, Richard C. of So Bend; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and two sisters, Mr.s Ann Nemeth and Mrs. Hildegarde Avery both of So Bend. A daughter, Mrs. Joan Karkiewicz, and a son, Casimir preceded her in death.
