Mrs. Dorothea Ann Ostroski, 90, of Rolling Prairie passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Millers Merry Manor, New Carlisle, IN. She was born on October 22, 1921 in Rolling Prairie to Frank and Louise (Pawlak) Mrozinski. She lived her entire life in the area. She had worked for many years at Plimpton Press as a book binder. On October 7, 1950 in Rolling Prairie, IN she married Sylvester A. Ostroski, who preceded her in June of 1989. She was a member of St. John Kanty Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. John Kanty Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed cooking, baking, flower and vegetable gardening.
She leaves 1 daughter, Linda Ostroski of Rolling Prairie, 2 sons, Daniel (Laura Jones) Ostroski of Rolling Prairie and Gregory Ostroski also of Rolling Prairie, 3 grandchildren, Angelina (Dan) Estes, Justin (Daniella) Ostroski, Christina Ostroski, 3 great grandchildren, Taylor Ostroski, Aryka Ostroski and Hemi Ostroski and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her husband and 1 sister, Christine Tuholski. The visitation will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 4-8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday 9-10:00 A.M. at Essling Funeral Home. The Rosary will be on Tuesday at 4:30 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. at St. John Kanty Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Heimer officiating. Burial will be in St. John Kanty Catholic Cemetery following the Mass. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor choice.
