September 6, 1931 - September 20, 2018
Daughter of John and Okall (Wyatt) Goble. Born Sept. 6, 1931 and raised in Knightstown, Indiana. Graduated Knightstown High School in 1948. Elected to the National Honor Society as a Junior in High School, was published in "Who's Who in the High Schools of America", and was selected as a representative to attend Girl's State in Washington, DC. Graduated Ball State University on full academic scholarships in 1952, and graduated seventh scholastically in a class of over 700. Married Aug. 3, 1952 to Walter C. Anglemeyer at Knightstown Christian Church. Taught high school English in Delphi, Indiana and was the church secretary at the First Presbyterian Church in Lafayette, Indiana. Surviving are her husband, Walter Anglemeyer; sister, Joy Harrold; children, Walter D. (Penny) Anglemeyer, Susan (Bill) Holmes, Anne (Pepper) Goad, Andy Anglemeyer, Matthew Angelmeyer; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Betty attended Nappanee Missionary Church and was content to stay home and enjoy her favorite hobby, reading. She likes biblical/spiritual books. Another pleasure she had was writing letters to family and friends, and listening to the "Cubs" ball games. She was an avid fan of the Cubs, Notre Dame Fighting Irish football, and IU basketball. Family and friends may call from 3-7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Nappanee Missionary Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 23 at Nappanee Missionary Church. Rev. Dave Engbrecht will officiate. Burial will follow in South Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Nappanee Missionary Church. Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
