MISHAWAKA - Victoria Gnivecki, 90, of Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal, South Bend, formerly of Mishawaka, died at 8:10 a.m. today in the nursing home. Mrs. Gnivecki retired in 1965 from Uniroyal Plastics Co. after 29 years of service. She was born Dec. 8, 1903, in Michigan City and lived in Mishawaka since 1920, coming from Michigan City. On Nov. 9, 1920, in Michigan City, as Victoria Sayo, she married Perry Gnivecki. He died Jan. 27, 1954. She is survived by a daughter, Pauline Kwiatkowski of Mishawaka; two sons, Stanley J. and Edward L., both of Mishawaka; a stepson, Louis P. Gnivecki of McHenry, Ill.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Clara Baines of Santa Ana, Calif. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360 Auxiliary, Uniroyal Senior Citizens and St. Bavo's Catholic Church. Private services will be Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
