ELKHART - Constance K. Szlanfucht, 97, of Elkhart passed away at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at the Center for Hospice Care-Elkhart. She was born Nov. 26, 1914, in Wabash to Thomas and Alice (Martin) Sivits. As Constance K. Godber, she married Edward "Eddie" Szlanfucht on April 20, 1957, in South Bend. He survives along with one daughter, Norma Jean (Clifford) Linn of Pierceton, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Gerald (Patty) Sivits of Burns, Kan. She was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Davis, and a brother, Thomas Sivits. Constance was employed in the sewing industry and also worked for Three Rivers Furs. She enjoyed sewing and reading, and she loved to dance. At her request, there will be no visitation or services and cremation will take place at Elkhart Cremation Services. Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care-Elkhart.
