SOUTH BEND - Gloria R. Kovacs, 91, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in South Bend. She was born January 11, 1927 in South Bend to John and Mary Wrzesien. Gloria was united in marriage to the late Richard Kovacs who preceded her in 1979. Along with her husband, Gloria is preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy; her son, Mark; her granddaughter, Melissa Kovacs; her sister, Evelyn Majerski; and her brothers, Dan and Ervin Wrzesien. Gloria is survived by her four grandchildren, Lindsay (Nick) DeCicco, Lauren Kovacs, Michael Carpenter, and Kevin Loder; and nine great-grandchildren. Gloria was employed for 30 years by Madison Center as a secretary and was a lifelong resident of South Bend. Services for Gloria will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery, 2257 Portage Ave., South Bend, following the service.
