Maria Pangallo, 80, of Mishawaka, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022. Maria was born on December 20, 1941, in Oppido, Mamarita, Italy to the late Dominick & Tersilia (Mattiga) Feis. On May 12, 1958, in Italy, she married Joseph S. Pangallo who preceded her in death in 1981 at the age of 51. Also preceding her in death is her daughter, Victoria Mclear and siblings, Franca Violi, Paula Feis and Alfozno Feis. She is survived by her son, Frank Pangallo; grandsons Giuseppe Higbee and Chance Owens; and siblings, Antionetta Feis and Margaret Violi. Maria worked as a seamstress most of her life doing alterations and tailoring. She began her work with Rosa, wife of Bruno, out of their front porch in River Park. She went on to work for various places including Gilberts, Richmond Brothers, France’s Shop, Robertsons, Milady Ship, Goldblatts, Men’s Warehouse and J.O.S. A Banks. She took great pride in her work and was fabulous at what she did. She also worked in the Dietician Department at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center and did food preparations at the well-known Mishawaka Restaurant, Papa Joe’s with her best friend Shirley Nove. The family will receive friends from 5 pm-8 pm on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St. Mishawaka, IN 46544. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am at St. Monica Catholic Church, 222 W. Mishawaka Ave, Mishawaka, IN 46545 with visitation 1 hour prior in the church. Entombment will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka. Memorial contributions can be made in Maria’s memory to St. Monica Catholic Church, 222 W. Mishawaka Ave, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
