SOUTH BEND - Garland Lee Hagedorn, 62, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013, in Memorial Hospital. Garland was born August 18, 1951, in South Bend, to the late Garland (Sonny) and Betty (Casper) Hagedorn. Survivors include Denise (James) Kujawski of Mishawaka, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Garland enjoyed his job at Wal-Mart; he loved socializing with the customers. He also enjoyed working on cars and collected NASCAR and Diecast model cars. His two best friends were Mark Kowalski and Dennis Podell. A Memorial Service will be celebrated for Garland 11:00 am Wednesday, December 4, 2013, in the Unity Church of Peace, 905 E. Colfax Ave., South Bend, IN. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., is assisting the family. The family is forever grateful to Dr. Ryan Ross and Dr. Norman Grey; they were very attentive to Garland. www.sjfh.net
