From the SOUTH BEND TRIBUNE, Tuesday, July 5, 1949:

John Sniadecki, aged 79, of 1813 South Kendall street, died in his home at 12:15 p.m. Sunday. He had been ill two weeks. Mr. Sniadecki was born May 8, 1870, in Poland and came here from there 49 years ago. He is survived by three sons, Louis, Joseph and Stephen Sniadecki; five daughters, Mrs. Sadie Golembiewski, Mrs. Hattie Stachurski, Mrs. Helen Wisniewski, Mrs. Julia Ciupinski, all of South Bend, and Mrs. Regina Bunch, Elkhart, Ind.; two brothers, Joseph and Andrew, of Poland; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
