SHARON WILLEY OBITUARY
Aug. 6, 1946 - Feb. 15, 2010

ELKHART - Sharon J. Willey, 63, passed away at 8:25 a.m. Monday, February 15, 2010, in Elkhart Hospice House after an extended illness. She was born on August 6, 1946, in Cooper, Texas, to Preston and Juanita (Bledsoa) Snyder. She was preceded in death by her father, Preston Snyder, and mother-in-law, Doris I. Willey. Sharon was employed as a machine operator for Bayer Corporation for 38 years before retiring in 2007. She was a member of the Meadowwood Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Roland R. Wiley of Elkhart; sons, Jeffrey and Scott Phend, both of Mishawaka; daughters, Lisa Burzloff of Mishawaka, Kimberly Phend of Elkhart and Tracy (Mitchell) Dewitt of Elkhart; stepdaughters, Sarah (John) Scott of Goshen and Elaine (Bill) Baldwin of Edwardsburg; a brother, Robert (Tisha) Snyder of Hesperia, CA; sisters, Carolyn (John) Riddle Sr. and Connie (Dan) Casad, both of Lakeville; and mother, Juanita Snyder of Elkhart. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, in the Billings Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services on Friday. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m. in the Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart, with Pastor David Dollinger and Pastor Jeff Gammon officiating. Interment will be held at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart, following the funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
