Alberta Ruth (Haynes) Garrison, 72, of Granger, IN, passed away on October 28, 2017. Alberta was born Dec. 26, 1944, in South Bend, IN, to Perry H. Haynes and Mary-Etta (Keb) Haynes. After completing her education, she met her first husband, Fred Horvath, who preceded her in death. She later met and married Manuel Garrison, who also preceded her in death. Alberta had many joys in life, she was an avid sports fan that enjoyed watching baseball, as well as attending all Penn High School football and girls Soccer games; she loved to cheer for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. However, she found that her greatest joy in life was the time she spent raising and taking care of her family. Alberta is survived by her daughter, Heidi (Jeff) Sellers; son, James Horvath; son, Jeff Horvath; son, Steven Garrison; grandchildren, Sara Sellers, Alycia (Camaron) Villecco, Grace Garrison, Abby Garrison; great-grandchildren, Jadelyn Leigh Winkle and Arya Ryna Villecco; as well as her sisters, Waunita (Larry) Smith and Modonna (Jack) Wilkinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Horvath; husband, Manuel Garrison; and her brother, Perry Lee Haynes.
Services for Alberta will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at 6:00 PM, friends may visit from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM until the time of service at Hendryx Mortuary - Cumberland Chapel, 11636 East Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made towards the college funds of her two great-granddaughters - Jadelyn Leigh Winkle & Arya Ryna Villecco.
