KNOX - Clement "Kemo" John Pawlik, 93 years old, of Knox, IN, died Friday, March 27, 2015, in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was born Wednesday, November 2, 1921, in Knox, Indiana, son of the late Hugo Pawlik and the late Philomane Pawlik. Kemo was a member of Knox Community School Board from 1976 to 1984. Kemo was inducted into the Knox High School Hall of Fame on 1-29-2011. Kemo was a member of the Knox Volunteer Fire Department. He was a huge supporter of the Knox athletic department. Kemo loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. Kemo was a Sgt. in the Marines from June 1942 to September 1945. He worked as a laborer for Bethlehem Steel. Surviving are his wife, Rose Pawlik of Knox, IN, Son, Roger (Dolores) Pawlik of Alsip, IL, Son, Rod (Lisa) Pawlik of Granger, IN, Daughter, Kim (Paul) Wojtyla of Palatine, IL, Brother, Alvin (Vi) Pawlik of Knox, IN. He was preceded in death by parents, Hugo & Philomane Pawlik, and brothers, Hugo, Rudy, Joe & Ed Pawlik, and sisters, Philomane Pawlik, Sophie Gould and Mary Arendt. Friends will be received 4-8 PM Sunday, March 29, 2015, at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana. Services will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Church on Monday, March 30, 2015, at 11 AM, with Father Rick Holy officiating. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
