SOUTH BEND - Sylvester F. Ciesielski, 77, of Harrison Road, South Bend, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2007, in his residence. Sylvester was born on September 21, 1929, in South Bend, to Michael and Mary (Grzadzeila) Ciesielski. On January 3, 1980, in Roseland, he married Violet Manley. His parents, wife, and grandson, Isaiah Manley, have preceded him in death. Surviving Sylvester are daughters, Angela (Walter) Wiltfong of South Bend and Elizabeth Lindzy of Florida; sons, Rory (Dee) Ciesielski of Los Angeles, CA, James D. Manley Jr. of South Bend, Larry Manley of Connersville, IN, Rick Manley and Jeffery D. Manley of South Bend; grandchildren, Benjamin, Mariah, Evelyn, Wynona, Shilah, Neil and Anna; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Stella O'Donnell and Frances Ciesielski, both of South Bend. Sylvester served in the United States Army in Korea, being discharged in 1952. He worked as a dairy farmer, retiring in 2003. Visitation will be today, January 23, 2007, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007, by Pastor Rich Siri. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 319 S.
