March 29, 1941 - March 23, 2014

GRANGER - Robert Joseph Dygulski, 72, "Bobbie Dearest," passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Bob was born on March 29, 1941, in Mishawaka, as the son of the late Bert and Alice (Bickel) Dygulski. On July 24, 1965, in St. Monica's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, he married the former Cheryl Lucchi. Bob is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cheryl Dygulski; and their daughters, Denise (Mike) Heyvaert and Deann Dygulski, both of Granger; four grandchildren, Dylan, Lindsay and Sam Heyvaert and Jacob Hums; two brothers, Ronald Dygulski and Jim Dygulski both of Union, MI. Bob had graduated from St. Joseph High School in South Bend, and then attended Colorado State University, after leaving college; he then spent seven years in the U.S. Army Reserves. He then returned to the Michiana area in 1965 to start his family and career. Bob worked for White Farm Equipment for 10 years in manufacturing and purchasing. He then was a Manufactures Sales Representative for Jarl Extrusions of Tennessee and for Magnode Aluminum in Middletown, OH. Retiring after 28 years. His greatest love was his family and friends whether playing golf or tailgating at Notre Dame games. His outgoing personality and care for others will not be forgotten. The family wishes to thank the staff and doctors on the 3rd floor at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, especially Dr. El Far, for the wonderful care given to Bob during his recent illness. Family and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, March 26, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, March 27th, at 10:30 a.m., with visitation one hour prior in St. Pius X Catholic Church, Granger. Cremation will take place after service, with private burial at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
