ELKHART - Jeanette Lochmandy, 94, of Elkhart and Jupiter, Florida, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2009, in her home in Florida. Jeanette was born on November 1, 1915, in Galien, Illinois, to the late Leo and Alta (Martin) Van Huffel. She married Michael J. Lochmandy on June 11, 1938, in South Bend. He passed away on August 9, 1988. Jeanette was a homemaker. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Elaine Lochmandy of Elkhart and Kaye (Richard) Miller of Farmington Hill, MI; sons, Dennis M. (Paula) Lochmandy of Elkhart, Brian K. (Jane) Lochmandy of Elkhart and Kirk L. (Deborah) Lochmandy of Goshen; 18 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and Rosary Society, and was a former member of the Elcona Country Club and the Elks. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, with the Reverend Richard Conyer and Reverend William Sullivan officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday in the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday in the church. A Rosary service will be held Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Vincent's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
