SOUTH BEND - ZBigniew "Ziggy" Borow-ski, 64, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015, in his home. Ziggy was born September 10, 1950, in Germany, to Michael and Magdalena (Szapiel) Borowski. He was preceded in death by his brothers & sisters, Ted, Donna, George, Eddie and Helen. On July 31, 1971, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Ziggy married Linda (Moubray) Borowski, who survives. Ziggy is also survived by their sons, Mike (Ashley) Borowski, and Jeffrey (Samantha) Borowski; grandson, Jayden Edgarton; brother, Richard (Cheryl) Borowski of Goshen; and sister, Jeanette (Greg) Phillips of Battle Creek, MI. Ziggy honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He was a tool and die maker at RACO Corporation for 25 years. Ziggy was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Ziggy was a member of the Electrical Workers Union, Chain O' Lakes Conservation Club, American Legion Post 357, and the National M.S. Society. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors. Most of all, Ziggy cherished his family. Visitation for Ziggy will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, July 10, 2015, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm, with military honors.
