Z. M. "Squeeze" Gard, 77, passed away January 17, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Squeeze was preceded in death by her parents, Donnabelle & Angelo Messana and Frank Zavor; brother, Ross Messana; grandson, Brockton Gard and a great grandaughter, Akira Gard.During her marriage to Don Gard, Squeeze had 3 children, Rick Gard of Mishawaka, Chuck Gard of South Bend and Tara (Jon) Rerick of South Bend and a step son, Don (Connie) Gard of MI. Her grandchildren include Chad (Rhiannon) Gard of Cape Coral, FL., Josh (Bridgette) Gard of Mishawaka, Miranda Wilken of Mishawaka and Rachel Pemple Of Edwardsburg, MI. Squeeze had 11 great grandchildren and was especially close to her nieces Pamela Michiels and Janice Kendall. Surviving siblings include Frank Zavor, Donna Lee Hartman, Rosann McCann, Diane Messana and step-brother Mike Messana. Squeeze spent her last days doing what she loved most, listening to her favorite music, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Uriah Heep, ELP.... She recently learned to Face Time with her great grandchildren out of town, Kaily, Cameron and Kelsea Gard. Following Squeezes wishes, there will be no services. If you wish to pay your respects to her, do your part to save the earth she loved, recycle, don't be a litter bug, stop smoking (cigarettes anyway), rescue a pet from a shelter, stop global warming and do your part to be a good human being. Just know...Squeeze has become comfortably numb.An open house to share special stories and remembrances will be held at a date TBA.
