Services for Mrs. Irene Boswell Verbeke, 72, of 50505 US 31 N, will be at 9:30am Thursday at the St Joseph Funeral Home. Rev. Honesto Badilla of St Adalbert’s Church will officiate. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. She died Monday. Friends may call form 2 to 9pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs Verbeke was born in South Bend on May 9, 1906. She was a lifetime resident of the area. She was married on April 23, 1957, in Niles to Maurice Verbeke, who died in 1963. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Duncan of Mishawaka; two sons, Robert Boswell of Niles and Ralph Boswell of South Bend; 15 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Mrs. Verbeke was a member of Post No 26; the American Legion Auxiliary, and an auxiliary member of Post 360, VFW.
