Anna R. Knapik

Anna R. Knapik, 80, of 628 Western Ave., died at 4:50 p.m. Monday in Healthwin Hospital after an illness of seven weeks. Born June 12, 1890, in Chicago, she came to South Bend 60 years ago. On May 19, 1909, in Chicago, she was married to Charles Knapik, who died April 8, 1969. She is survived by two sons, John and Stanley; four daughters, Mrs. Florence Kaman, Mrs. Celia Paturalski and Mrs. Harried Palicki, all of South Bend, and Mrs. Wanda Millay of Huntington Beach, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley and Allie Graff, both of Chicago; and two sisters, Mrs. Frances Huesman of Chicago, and Mrs. Wanda Brulingham of Northfield, Ill. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the St. Joseph Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The St. Joseph Group 65 of the Polish National Alliance of St. Hedwig's Church, of which Mrs. Knapik was a member, will also recite a rosary at 3 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church by Rev. Richard J. Kennedy, C.S.C., pastor. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
