Melody L. Shisler of South Bend, passed away on May 23, 2022, with her daughters by her side. Melody was born on May 23, 1954 in South Bend to the late Melvin & Doris (Metzler) Swift. On August 26, 2000, she married Michael Shisler, who preceded her in death on January 28, 2011. Survivors include two daughters Melia (Brian) Shines and Mariah (Kelly) Kolat; six grandchildren; Maiya, Braxton and Maverick Shines and Kyndall, Kadynce and Kara Kolat; two brothers, Brad and Mark Swift. Melody retired from Kroger in 2017 having been there 43 years. Melody had a laugh that was contagious; she treasured spending time with family & friends. Melody loved to travel & being in the sunshine. Melody enjoyed working in her yard & was the President of the Mishawaka Garden Club. Melody took pride in being a part of the Clay Class of 1972; helping organize & attend reunions. A Celebration of Melody’s Life will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at the Christian Center Church located at 530 E. Ireland Rd. South Bend, IN 46614. Pastor Mark Lantz will officiate. Friends may visit with Melody’s Family from 4-6 p.m. with a short service starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the Church.
