Tadeusz was born in Wildflecten in the Bad Kissinengen District Germany, a municipality on the border of Bavaria and Hessen the son of Michael Borowski and Magdalena N. Borowski of South Bend Indiana. He was the dear brother sisters, Donna, Jeanette, and Helen Browski; and brothers Zbigniew, George, and Richard Borowski. On October 29, 1964 he enelisted in the US Marine Corps and arriving in Vietnam on February 23 1968 was assigned to and served with Company C, 1st Battalion, 27th Marines, 1st MARDIV (Rein) FMF.
