he Village of Burzyn probably dates back to the year 1301, when Duke Wladyslaw of Opole granted the villages of Ryglice and Burzyn to Wawrzyniec Kielanowski and Mikolaj Burza.The basic root of this name (Burzyn) is seen in the noun burza, "storm, brawl, disturbance."
