Marilyn Rhoades, 74, residing in Granger, passed away at 12:15pm Tuesday, May 3, 2022, in her home. She was born July 12, 1947, in Mishawaka to the late John and Mary (Koblick) Nowak and remained a lifelong area resident. On February 17, 1973, in South Bend, Marilyn married Louie “Lou” Rhoades, who preceded her in death on September 21, 2020, after 47 years of marriage. She is survived by two sons, Brian L. Rhoades of Granger and David J. (Amanda) Rhoades of South Bend; and two granddaughters, Lilyana and Scarlett. Marilyn adored her granddaughters and enjoyed spending time with them. Marilyn and her husband, Lou, were the owners of City Auto Parts on Edison Road in Mishawaka prior to retirement. Marilyn was the office manager for City Auto Parts. She was also a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church on Cleveland Road. There will be no public services. Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel and Southlawn Cremation services are assisting the family with arrangements.
