On October 22, 1938, Virginia married Thaddeus Wantuck Sr., who preceded her in death. Virginia was also preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary (Paturalski) Kowalewski; brothers, Julius Kowalewski, John Kowalewski, Ray Kowalewski and Harry Kowalewski; her sister, Jenny (Kowalewski) Jozwiak; and great-grandsons, Bradley Wantuck and Joseph Wantuck. She is survived by her children, Ted (Peggy) Wantuck Jr., Gene (Peggy) Wantuck and Theresa (Ted) Turnock; her grandchildren, Michele Youngblood, Jason Wantuck, Jennifer Lanham, Sara Crawford, Stephen Wantuck, Daniel Turnock, Philip Turnock and Carrie Turnock; great-grandchildren, Preston Szalewski and Jackson Lanham. Sill, OK, where their oldest son was born. She retired from Sears where she had worked as a bridal consultant and in ladies apparel sales. She was the first woman sales person in the automotive department. She enjoyed cooking, cake decorating, gardening, crocheting, and playing games and cards with her family. She also enjoyed the old Polish songs and music, and dancing at family weddings. In her younger days, she had played the harmonica and trumpet. She was always concerned for her family and friends whom she loved deeply. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and was a member of St. Patrick's Parish for over 50 years.
