Gladys R. Moroni, 94, of Knox passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012. Gladys was born November 26, 1917 in Knox to Frank A. and Christena R. (Byer) Gappa, both deceased. On May 28, 1938 she married Charles Moroni, Sr.; he preceded her in death in 1976. She is survived by a daughter, Anna Wakefield (Bob) of Highland, IN, and a son, Richard G. Moroni (Diane) of Granger, IN, 12 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith K. Bennett (Ben) of Knox, and a son, Charles L. Moroni (Donna) of Knox, sisters and brothers, Margaret Cecrle, Mildred Michalski, Sylvia Johnson, Glenn Gappa, Christena Gappa, Francis Chapman, and August Gappa. Visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2012 from 4-8 pm at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11 am at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society, or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
