SOUTH BEND - Frances Boswell, 89, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013, in Hospice House, South Bend, IN. She was born on February 11, 1924, in Lydick, IN, to the late William L. and Effie (Raber) Bowker. On August 29, 1942, as Frances Bowker, she married Delbert W. Zebell, who preceded her in death in November 1997. On June 17, 1978, she married Ralph Boswell, who survives. Frances is also survived by her sons, Jim (wife Sandy) of New Buffalo, MI, Duane of South Bend, IN, Bruce and Daryl, both of Three Oaks, MI, and Timothy of South Bend, IN; seven grandchildren, James, Holly, Ryan (wife Jamie), Shawna (fiancé Justin), Danielle, Taylor Renee and Blake Zebell; seven great-grandchildren & one great-great-grandchild; and by a brother, James Bowker of Niles, MI. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a grandson, six sisters and one brother. Mrs. Boswell worked for Featherbone and Knoll, both in Three Oaks, MI, and Simplicity in Niles, MI. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday, August 27, 2013, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. Funeral services for Frances will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 27, 2013, in Kaniewski Funeral Home, with entombment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens on Jefferson Blvd. in Osceola, IN.
