SOUTH BEND - Jean F. Sczepankiewicz, nee Pyclik, passed away at the age of 90 in Holy Cross Care Center, South Bend, Indiana. Jean was preceded in death by her cherished husband Matthew in 1987; sisters, Anna Pietrzak and Stephanie Hattery; and brothers, Roman, Casimir and Michael. Survivors for Jean are her children: daughter, Sharon (Frank) Bodish, and son, Matthew (Vicki) Sczepankiewicz; five grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great-grandchildren; Walt (Leona) Bukrajewski; and countless nieces, nephews and friends. Jean was active in the Hoosiers Grandmothers Club, American Legion Post #357 and the Chopin Fine Arts. Jean will be greatly missed by all who knew her; she touched the lives of everyone she met and left them richer for having known her. Her passing has left a hole in the hearts of her family that will never be filled. Visitation for Jean will be held 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, November 30, 2012, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 1, 2012, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
