Karen Sue (Korros) Coder passed away on August 28, 2022, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN, at the age of 79 years old. She was born on July 16, 1943 in La Porte, IN, to the late Edward and Susan (Atkinson) Korros. Karen is survived by her brother, Jeff (Maureen) Korros of Fishers, IN; niece, Stefanie (Isaac) Wagner (Korros) of Indianapolis; nephew, Matthew (Jenny Doerr) Korros of Seattle, WA; and great-niece, Islay Kathleen Korros. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Coder, as well as her brother, Tim Korros. Karen grew up in South Bend, IN; moved to Auburn for more than twenty years; and then moved back to the South Bend area about five years prior to her death. After high school, she started college and graduated with her licensed practical nurse (LPN) license. She was a nurse for thirty plus years and worked at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center and DeKalb County Hospital. Karen was an avid card player and loved going to the casino. Above all though, she adored her beloved dog “Finn.” Joyce, Pam and Carolyn will miss Karen, as will many other friends from Arborwood. There will be no services held at this time. Palmer Funeral Homes - Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
