MISHAWAKA, IN - Herb S. Tebo, 68, residing in Mishawaka, Indiana passed away at 9:09 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at his residence. Herb worked as a mechanic and maintenance supervisor at Gates Chevrolet for 52 years. He was born on March 23, 1952 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Harold R. and Florence A. (Fritz) Tebo and remained a lifelong resident. On June 15, 1996 in Middlebury, Indiana Herb was united in marriage to C. Sharon (Burks) Tebo, who survives. Along with his loving wife Sharon, he is survived by two daughters, Genny (Cheri) Nowicki of Granger and Michelle Thomas of Mishawaka; his son, Shane Tebo of South Bend; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Geraldine A. Staner of Bremen, Mary Clough of South Bend, and Connie (Donnie) Ford of Selmer, Tennessee. One sister, Betty Buck, preceded Herb in death. Herb enjoyed working at Gates and often referred to them as his second family. He also enjoyed NASCAR, working on cars, his dog “Sara”, going to the lake, camping, and plowing snow. Herb was a member of Mishawaka Eagles. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Palmer Funeral Home - River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of services. Pastor Greg Crump will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, South Bend, IN.
