Julie Z. Rudasics, 94, passed away at 11:08 pm Sunday, May 23, 2021 at North Woods Village, Mishawaka. She was born August 12, 1926 in Schumacher, Ontario, Canada to the late Michael and Helen Popovich. On October 15, 1957 in Detroit, MI, Julie married Steve J. Rudasics, who preceded her in death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Rose, and brothers, Tommy, Nick, Michael & Joe. Julie is survived by three sons, Steven (Jackie) Rudasics of Bellevue, WA, Craig Rudasics of South Bend, Dean (Janet) Rudasics of Edwardsburg, MI; five grandchildren, Paige (Kyle) Schneider, Sarah Rudasics, Andrew Rudasics, Anthony Rudasics and Marie Rudasics; one great grandson, Eli; and one sister, Velma Moysey of Toronto, Canada. Julie was a professional ice skater with Ice Capades and Hollywood Ice Revue for over ten years. She enjoyed traveling around the world, meeting celebrities and performing with other famous ice skaters. Julie was also a talented watercolor artist and a member of the St. Joe Valley Watercolor Society. However, her most treasured profession was that of a loving, devoted wife and mother with a wonderful sense of humor. She will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 29, 2021 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm in Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 SR 933, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
