Dennis S. Andrysiak
April 24, 1912 - July 30, 1999

Dennis S. Andrysiak, 87, of St. Joseph Care Center West, formerly of Magnolia Street, passed away at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 1999, in the care center.
Mr. Andrysiak was born on April 24, 1912, in South Bend, Ind., to Stanley ''Steve'' and Stella (Niezgodzki) Andrysiak, who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Andrysiak. He retired in 1974 from White Farm Equipment after 46 years of service. Mr. Andrysiak was a member of St. Casimir Parish, Senior Citizens Club, Holy Name Society, Married Men's Club, and Usher's Club. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #58. On October 20, 1934, in South Bend, he married Louise M. Markiewicz, who preceded him in death on Dec. 17, 1997. He is survived by a son, Carl D. (Sharon) Andrysiak of Holden, Mass.; three grandchildren, Christopher (Sarah) Andrysiak of Boston, Mass., Tanya Andrysiak of Amesburg, Mass., and Keli (Dr. Thomas) Kaegi of Williamstown, Mass.; two great grandchildren, Emily and Gray Kaegi, both of Williamstown, Mass.; a sister, Rose H. Szymanski of Lowell, Ind.; and by a brother, Cajetan E. Andrysiak of South Bend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 1999, in St. Casimir Church. Burial follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a combined, St. Casimir Parish, Senior Citizens Club and Holy Name Society Rosary will be prayed at 2:30 p.m. and where a St. Casimir Married Men's and Usher's Clubs Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637-3437, or to the St. Casimir Building Fund.
