NILES - Marilyn J. Wroblewski, 82, residing in Niles, passed away at 1:50 p.m. Saturday, 1951, in Elkhart, Marilyn married Arthur J. Wroblewski, who preceded her in death on December 13, 1987. Marilyn attended Elkhart Central High School and then Methodist Hospital Nursing School in Indianapolis. She had been a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital since 1950 and was Supervisor of Nursing. She then worked with Visiting Nurses for seventeen years before retiring in 1996. Surviving Marilyn are her son, Thomas (Kathryn) Wroblewski of South Bend; and her grandson, Jeremiah Joseph Wroblewski of Poplar Bluff, MO. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Grace Hummel. Marilyn was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church in South Bend. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing the accordion and the organ as well as knitting and cooking. Memorial services for Marilyn will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012, in Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635. Graveside services and burial will be held at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home prior to services. Contributions in memory of Marilyn may be made to St. Monica's Catholic Church, 222 W.
