Nov. 2, 1946 - Feb. 13, 2012 GRANGER - Frank "Skip" Felinski Jr., 65, of Granger, IN, passed into eternal life on Monday, February 13, 2012, after a long battle with multiple myeloma and scleromyxedema. He was born on November 2, 1946, to the late Frank Sr. and Leah (Heminger) Felinski in Gary, IN. Along with his parents, Skip was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, William and Dorothy Radosh; brother, David Felinski; nephew, Tyler Martin; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Skip Felinski and Sheila Radosh were married on January 26, 2001. Skip is survived by his loving wife, Sheila; his sister, Kathie Felinski; step-daughters, Kelly (Tom) Silich, Juliet (Chuck) Kamboures; grandchildren, Joshua Webber, Travis Conrad, Ashley Conrad, Jaydon Silich, Peyton Kamboures; in-laws, Linda Felinski and Tom Bunchek, Becky Grant and Joe Leistikow, Mary and Mike Penna, Debra and Harold Easterlin, Michael and Judy Anderson; niece, Winter (Michael) Riley; nephews, Taylor Felinski, Nathan Riley, Michael (Nicole) Grant, Cameron (Andrea) Anderson, Anthony (Nesta) Easterlin, Nicholas Easterlin, Brandon Anderson; an uncle, Ray Heminger; an aunt, Alice Felinski; and many cousins and godchildren. Skip was a graduate of William A. Wirt High School in Miller, Indiana, and a graduate of the University of Maryland (Accounting & Architectural Engineering). He attended Governors State University and Illinois State University. Mr. Felinski was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, where he was a boom operator, KC-135s. He was the owner and vice president of Horizon Services, LTD., a bank auditing firm in Orland Park, IL. Skip was a member of St. Pius X Parish in Granger, IN; past Vice President of Tinley Park Jaycees; scuba diving instructor for the Professional Diving Instructors of America; AOPA (Aircraft Owners & Pilot Association); member of Knights of Columbus, Council 4263 in Granger, IN. He had served as lector and Eucharistic minister at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Granger, IN. He was active in fundraising for Hannah's House Maternity Home, was a member of the American Legion Post 0777 in Indianapolis, IN, and a member of the National Rifle Association. Some other highlights of Skip's life were getting his pilot's license, he loved flying more than anything else in the world; and a Lourdes Pilgrimage Skip and Sheila went on in 2009. They were the guests of the Knights of the Order of Malta. This religious experience remained an inspiration throughout Skip's illness. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, and from 9-10 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Granger, IN. Cremation will follow. Burial will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, IN, at a later date.
