Fannie (Filomena) Bozzo, 90, of Elkhart passed away on Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, surrounded by her family at Ernestine Raclin House-Center for Hospice in Mishawaka, Indiana. Fannie was born on April 28, 1932, in Italy to Michele and Maria DeMarco. She married Gerald Bozzo; he preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2003. Fannie spent her life being a wonderful sister, wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Fannie is survived by her daughter, Mary (Tom) Hershberger of Elkhart, and her son, Frank (Linda) Bozzo of Goshen; grandchildren Lisa (Bryan) Kuehne of Elkhart, Angie (Steve)Pence of Niles, Michigan, Michelle (Ryan) Rowson of San Diego, California, Eric Bozzo of Goshen and Andrea (Bryton) Killian of Fort Wayne, Indiana; great-grandchildren Abbie Pence, Colin Kuehne, Landon Kuehne, Kendall Kuehne, Easton Rowson, Ryder Rowson and Stanley Killian; sister Rita (Giuseppe) Filicetti; sisters-in-law Divina DeMarco and Chiara DeMarco; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins. Fannie was preceded in death by her parents Michele and Maria DeMarco, husband Gerald, son Giuliano Bozzo, and her brothers Alessandro DeMarco and Guerino DeMarco. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1331 N. Main St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with visitation one hour before mass. Burial will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery in Elkhart, Indiana. Memorial donations in memory of Fannie may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org, or the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231, www.heart.org.
