Josephine M. (Urbanski) Borsodi, 86, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2006, in Healthwin Specialized Care Facility, South Bend. Josephine was born on January 16, 1920, in South Bend, to the late Frank and Julie (Obarski) Bartnicki, and was a lifelong area resident. On November 20, 1941, as Josephine Bartnicki, she married Eugene M. Urbanski, who preceded her in death on October 23, 1966. On July 19, 1969, she married Joseph E. Borsodi, who preceded her in death on August 22, 1993. She is survived by her three sons, Michael (Gloria) Urbanski of Mishawaka, Indiana, James F. (Deborah) Urbanski of South Bend and Robert J. (Debra) Urbanski, also of South Bend; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, E. Kit (Joan) Kitkowski; and numerous nieces and nephews from the Borsodi and Kitkowski families. Mrs. Borsodi worked as an inspector for Bendix for 10 years before retiring in 1985.She was a parishioner of St. Hedwig Catholic Church, South Bend, where she also was a member of the Rosary Society and Golden Cluster. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Hoosier Grandmothers Club, the American Legion Auxiliary Post #357 and was a life member of the DAV Auxiliary (Grant Road Post). Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM today, October 27, 2006, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish Rosary will be recited at 4:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday, October 28, 2006, in St. Hedwig Church, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to Darden Park at Healthwin, 20531 Darden Road, South Bend, IN 46637 or to Southern Care Hospice, 310 W. McKinley, #340, Mishawaka, IN 46545. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Healthwin Specialized Care Facility and the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Stroke Unit.
