SOUTH BEND - Virginia M. Strzelecki, 83, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, December 11, 2011, surrounded by her children and her sisters, Alice and Irene. Virginia was born June 4, 1928, in New Carlisle, to the late John and Mary (Ciesiolka) Gadacz. She was preceded in death by her loving granddaughter, Kelly Ann Dulcet; sister, Gertrude Tobler; brother, and sister-in-law, Frank and Gertrude Gadacz; and brothers-in-law, Benedict Strzelecki and Edwin Kolacz. She is survived by her son, Ronald P. (Laura) Strzelecki of New Carlisle; daughters, Linda (David) Krzyzaniak and Ruth Ann (Dennis) Dulcet, both of South Bend; grandchildren, Amy (Bob) Bradburn, Ronald R. (Denise) Strzelecki and Andrew Dulcet, all of South Bend, Stephanie Krzyzaniak of Noblesville, IN, and Kimberly (Kyle) Hueston of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Carter Bradburn and Emily Strzelecki. Virginia is also survived by four sisters, Pearl Kolacz of South Lyon, MI, Alice Strzelecki and Irene Wroblewski, both of South Bend, Marcella (Ronald) Tobolski of Walled Lake, MI; sister-in-law, Suezanne Gadacz of New Carlisle; and many nieces and nephews. Virginia retired in 1990 from the RACO Corporation after 46 years of service. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road. The Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Virginia will be entombed in the Guardian Angels Mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cadet Kelly Dulcet Memorial Scholarship Fund at Policemens Federal Credit Union, 1130 South Main Street, South Bend, IN 46601; or to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
