Dianne P. Molnar, 78 years old, passed away the evening of Monday, March 20, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Dianne was born on November 23, 1944, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Donald and Delores (Jaronik) Stephens. On July 23, 1979, she was united in marriage to Donald Molnar, who passed January 16, 2023. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Christy, stepson David, and brother Bud Stephens.Dianne is survived by her stepson, Larry (Sandy) Molnar who resides in Florida; four grandchildren, April (Mike) DeCook, Sara DeCook, Samantha (Kelby) Wendzel, and Alex Molnar; and three great-grandchildren, Sabrina, Alli, and AlinaDianne worked as an Emergency Room secretary at St. Joseph Hospital where she retired. After retirement she enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren; you could also catch her behind the counter during lunch time at the original Bruno’s Pizza.She loved cooking and baking and was always trying new recipes. Her husband Donald was the biggest food critic, but still devoured everything she made. As an antique collector she enjoyed window shopping and adding to her collection. She was known for her creativity and often repurposed antiques into things she could use around her house. She was crafty and resourceful. She loved baking cakes for the kids' birthdays, and always looked forward to the themes they picked every year. She also enjoyed sewing, painting, and poetry. Along with her loving husband Donald, Dianne was a longtime season ticket holder for Notre Dame women’s basketball. Dianne truly loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She always made sure her family and friends were taken care of. She especially adored her lifelong best friends Pat and Lynn. Dianne was a wonderful woman and will be missed by all who knew her. There are no services scheduled at this time. Palmer Funeral Home - Welsheimer Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
