Richard O. Hutchison Sr., 77, of South Bend, IN passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 in his residence. Richard was born on May 26, 1939 in Sacramento, CA. Richard was raised by his step father, Richard Piechoski since the age of 9.Richard worked as a press operator for Sharp Steel Corporation. Richard is survived by his daughter, Robin (Kelly) Chitwood of South Bend, a brother, Stanley E. (Julie) Piechoski of Mishawaka, a sister, Sheila S. (Chuck) VanDeWielle of Mishawaka, four grandchildren, Richard Hutchison III, Jerricia Hutchison, Dustin Abraham and Herbie Abraham Jr., three great grandchildren, Dustin Abraham Jr., Austin Abraham and Olivia Knapp. He is also survived by his ex wife, Terri Hutchison who he was married to for 22 years. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur D. Hutchison, his mother, Ella E. Piechoski, his stepfather, Richard Piechoski, two sons, Richard O. Hutchison Jr. and Billy Delinski. Richard was an avid fisherman. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka where there will be visitation one hour prior to the memorial service.Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
