According to the 1900 census record of South Bend, Indiana, Wojciech Michor, a saloon keeper, and his wife Mary were both born in Poland, had been married 24 years, and had immigrated in 1880. Mary had had seven children of whom six were living and residing at the family home (in birth order): Frank, Stanislawa/Stella, Helena, Leon, John, and Stanislaw Michor.

Wojciech and Mary also had a daughter Bronislawa who died August 8, 1900 in South Bend at the age of two weeks.(Interment records of St. Casimer Catholic Church, South Bend, Indiana; and WPA, "Indiana, Index to Death Records")
