MISHAWAKA - Rosemary Mikulyuk, 93, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012, in Missouri. Rosemary was born January 18, 1919, in Mishawaka, a daughter of the late Richard and Edna (Kronewitter) Mecklenburg. She grew up in Mishawaka and graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1937. Rosemary was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka and belonged to their Rosary Society. She helped with cleaning at the church. Rosemary enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the Ladies Bridge Club. She also liked playing bingo, sewing and golfing. On October 12, 1940, Rosemary married John Mikulyuk. They made Mishawaka their home until moving to St. Paul's Retirement Community in South Bend in 2000 and to Michigan in 2008 to live near a son. John passed away on March 14, 2012, and then Rosemary moved to Missouri to live near a daughter. Rosemary's surviving family includes four children, Marilyn (Jerome) Einkopf of Kimberling City, MO, George (Cynthia) Mikulyuk of Pentwater, MI, Christine Mikulyuk of Hoffman Estates, IL, and Richard Mikulyuk of Warsaw; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, John, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Charles Mecklenburg, and a sister, Lois Smith. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 15, at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 - 10:30 am in the church. Memorials are suggested to Oceana Seniors, 6699 N. Oceana Drive, Hart, MI 49420; or The Center for Hospice Care, 4220 Edison Lakes Pkwy, Suite 210, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
