Walter N. (Bud) Badowski

Walter N. (Bud) Badowski, 88, of 52501 Brook Trails, died at 3 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was retired owner and baker for the Chapin Bakery. Born on May 26, 1913, in South Bend, he lived here all his life. He married Stella (Stephanie) Fujawa, who survives with two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Filbert of Lafayette, Calif. and Miss Gladys Badowski of Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Sophie Konieczny, Mrs. Irene Sales, and Mrs. Alice Marciniak, all of South Bend, and Mrs. Angie Byer of Knox; and three brothers, William and Harry, both of South Bend, and Nicholas of Huntington Beach, Calif. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Christ the King Catholic Church. Rev. Daniel C. Coughlin, C.S.C., associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call form 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Kaniewski and sons Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
