Oma Sue Creech, 87, of South Bend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at her home. Oma was born January 27, 1932 in Paint Rock, Alabama, to the late Sam and Oma (Ivy) Skelton. She graduated from Gurley High School in Alabama. Oma married James “Jim” P. Creech on November 15, 1973; and he survives of South Bend. She was a homemaker. Oma was one of the original mothers who started the Logan Center. She also enjoyed painting portraits. She is survived by her husband, Jim Creech of South Bend; daughter, Tina (Randy) Webb of Elkhart; sons, Russell C. and Randall Flanagan both of South Bend; step-daughter, Cindy Creech of Niles, Michigan; step-sons, Karl Creech of Rolling Prairie, IN, and Charles Creech of LaPorte. Oma was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jason Creech, sister, Ophelia Skelton, three brothers, Leon, Ronald, and Buford “Red” Skelton.
