Vincent or "Willie" was born to Joseph and Elizabeth Skaudis Seurusaitis (Sursavage). He adopted the Sorukas surname as it was easier to pronounce than Seurusaitis. He married the former Alice Evans. He had two sisters: Alba Missavage and Mary Bender, both of whom lived in Herrin, IL. Vincent was buried in Highland Cemetery on March 17, 1962.
