Ernestina "Tina" M. Wenger, 67, Goshen, died 1 a.m. Monday, December 13, 2021 at IU Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born July 6, 1954, in Ilo Ilo City, Philippines, to Ireneo & Marcelina (Catabas) Munoz. Surviving are children, Carl E. Young III, Elkhart, Alyssa M. Young, South Bend, Abigail F. Wenger, Goshen, grandchild, Freya L. Young, siblings, Marie, Dorothea and Antonio (Fe) Munoz. Preceding her in death are her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Tina served on the Elkhart County Council for 5 years. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, NACO and a huge advocate of the AAPI community. Tina enjoyed traveling, shopping, photography, trying new restaurants and loved hiking in public parks. She was a member of AIC, National Republican Congressional Committee and FAAM. She also was a teacher for 15 years in St. Joe and Elkhart County.Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2021 at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the Bible Baptist Church, 205 E. Waterford St., Wakarusa. Pastor David Harper will officiate. Memorial donations may be directed to ADEC Elkhart County.Online condolences may be sent at www.rrefh.com
