Granger - Kathryn "Kace" C. Schalliol, 76, of Granger, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Center for Hospice-Raclin House. Kathryn was born on June 16, 1945 in Peru, IN to the late Hilbert and Katherine (Richmond) Wacknitz.

Kathryn is survived by her husband, James Schalliol, M.D.; her sons, Monroe, Michael, and Kevin Alfrey; five grandchildren, Simon, Abigail, Zackary, Ryan, and Zoe Alfrey; one great-grandchild, Calvin Alfrey; and one brother, Steve (Sylvia) Wackwitz. Kathryn's life was represented by "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein. She was President of Bay Plumbing, a member of the Christ Child Society, a board member of Duke's Hospital, and active with the Saint Joseph County Mental Health Association. Services will take place Saturday, October 16 at the mausoleum at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, 375 W. Cleveland Road, Granger, IN 46530. Refer to www.palmerfuneralhomes.com for the service time.
