SOUTH BEND - Brian David Heidt, 70, passed away at 3:26 am Thursday, May 5, 2016, in his home. Brian was born December 24, 1945, in South Bend, to the late Vernice and Doris (Battershaw) Heidt. Brian was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nikki Lynne Heidt. On August 29, 1970, Brian married Diana (Cencelewski) Heidt. She survives along with sons, David Brian (Jennifer) Heidt and Brent Allen Heidt; grandsons, Connor David Heidt and Nicholas Dale Heidt; and a brother, Gary A. Heidt of Roland, AR. Brian was a bus driver at Transpo for 32 years. The family wishes to send a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice for their care of Brian. There will be no services at this time. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E. Ireland Rd., is assisting the family. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
