SOUTH BEND - Anthony Perusich, 87, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 in his residence. Anthony was born on June 4, 1930 in South Bend to Albert and Elizabeth (Kuzmich) Perusich. He was a lifetime member of St. Anthony's Society where he enjoyed bowling for many years. Tony retired from South Bend Water Works, and was a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He loved Notre Dame football, golfing, gardening, and especially his grandchildren. On May 31, 1958 in South Bend, he married the former Joyce Ringhand. She preceded him in death on February 20, 2009. Surviving are a daughter, Renee (John) Cook of Indianapolis, IN; a son, Karl Perusich of South Bend; 2 granddaughters, Heather (Steve Palmer) Cook and Elizabeth (Adam) Fisher; and 3 great-granddaughters, Lucy Palmer, Nora Palmer, and Reagan Palmer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Viewing will take place from 4-8 Wednesday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 South Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will be recited at 4:30 pm.
