VALPARAISO, IN - Stephen L. Ciesielski, 73, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in his home. Stephen was born September 20, 1945 in South Bend to the late Stephen and Adeline (Zbrzezny) Ciesielski. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Ciesielski. In 1967, Stephen married Marcia J. (Soos) Ciesielski, and together created their loving daughter, Andrea Lynn. In 1991, Stephen married Lois (Brown) Ciesielski, who survives him. He is also survived by his daughter, Andrea Lynn (Jeff) Clutter; grandsons, Ryan J. Clutter and Tyler S. Clutter; brothers, Leo (Andrea) Ciesielski and Marty (Beverly) Ciesielski, nieces, and nephews. Stephen honorably served his country in the United States Army Reserves. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in South Bend. Stephen was a Lifetime member of the American Legion, PNA 83. He enjoyed golfing, especially with his grandson Ryan, bowling, hunting, fishing, and eating Polish food. Stephen loved his Labrador Retrievers and spending time with his family. He was an avid Notre Dame fan, a passion he shared with his grandson Tyler. “Go Irish!” Visitation will be 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am, Thursday, September 27, 2018 in the St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
